Hey Reader, National Scone Day is coming up this Friday, and if you’re anything like me, you love any excuse to bake! Scones are one of those treats that feel fancy but are actually super easy to make at home. My kids beg me to make scones any day I have a bit of free time in the morning. Since they only take about a half hour to make, including bake time, I say yes more often than not - and I suspect you will, too. So many flavors, not nearly enough time....Glazed Apple Scones are my family's latest obsession. They’re soft, slightly sweet, and the little chunks of apple add the perfect touch of moisture. You’ll want one (or two) with your morning coffee. If you’re craving something a bit more fruity, Peach Scones are a must. They work with fresh or frozen peaches, and that glaze is the perfect finishing touch. Chai Scones have a little more grown up flavor that makes them irresistible. They're a little less sweet, but when you finish them off with a lightly spicy glaze...don't say I didn't warn you. If you just want pure fun, Cherry Chip Scones are the way to go. Chocolate and cherry is always a match made in heaven, and it's no different with these scones. Scones are one of those treats that feel special, but they’re easy to make and always worth it. Which will you bake up to celebrate National Scone Day?
